Blog Entry 2 – Continuation of My Volunteering with Green Place Foundation After my first experiences, I continued collaborating with the Green Place Foundation, and every day I learn more about the importance of protecting our environment. First experience: Participating in a compost workshop. I learned how to transform organic waste into natural fertilizer, and now I want to apply this knowledge at home. Second experience: Joining a brigade that visited several houses to explain to families how to separate their trash. At first, it was a little difficult because some people were not interested, but little by little they understood the importance of the topic. Third experience: Supporting a cleaning campaign on the riverbanks. It was tiring, but when I saw the place free of waste, I felt that our effort was worth it. Planned activities: For the upcoming days, I hope to join an electronic recycling event and help in a community talk about saving energy.
